It’s predecessor -Weifang Computer Company
was established in 1984. It became a Share-issuing
enterprise in 1993 with registered capital of RMB$200
million and later the company was renamed Weifang
Huaguang Sci-Tech Co.,Ltd.

In 2000, Beijing Tianqiao Beida Jade Bird Sci-Tech
Co., Ltd and Beijing Beida Jade Bird Limited became
the largest and second largest shareholders by accepting
share transfer from Weifang Huaguang group. Then,
Weifang Huaguang Sci-Tech Co.,Ltd. was renamed Weifang
Beida Jade Bird Huaguang Sci-Tech Co.,Ltd.
Now, there are more than 1,400 staff members in
the company, among which over 60% are professional
technicians. By the end of 2001,the total assets
are up to RMB$ 1.569 billion and the net assets
are RMB$658 million.
Jade Bird Huaguang is a PRD (production, researching
and development) center of embedded system products
and communication products, a supply base of broadband
network technologies and equipments ,and also a
integrator in e-publishing and printing industry.
